Maureen Kolhoff is a 28-year-old artist from the Netherlands with a deep passion for creativity and visual storytelling. From a young age, she loved drawing and often took part in coloring contests. Since high school, she has known that creating art is what she truly wants to do.
Between 2017 and 2019, Maureen studied at the Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art (EAFA) in Scotland, where she was trained in classical drawing and painting techniques. During this time, she developed a strong appreciation for traditional oil painting, particularly still life.
In addition to her studio work, Maureen creates street art and murals, with a special interest in 3D pavement drawings. What draws her to this form of art is the ability to work on a large scale, its accessibility in public spaces, and the spontaneous interaction with people while working. Her 3D pieces often play with perspective, creating visual illusions that surprise and engage passersby.
Through both her fine art and street projects, Maureen hopes to bring a bit more color and wonder into the world.
