Olivia Riggins discovered her love of street painting during COVID, when she and her mom, artist Jan Riggins, began creating chalk art to celebrate birthdays, milestones, and special occasions for neighbors in their community. What started as a creative way to spread joy quickly became a passion. Olivia began street painting at age 13 and developed her skills by working alongside her mom on projects and events, learning the unique techniques behind large scale chalk art and the challenges of creating anamorphic, perspective based designs.
Through hands-on experience, she learned how art and problem solving work together, balancing creativity with the technical thinking required to create convincing 3D illusions. Now a sophomore studying Engineering in Texas, Olivia continues to blend artistic creativity with analytical thinking, bringing both perspectives into her work as an artist.
