Go behind the scenes of the World Street Painting Festival and hear directly from the internationally artists transforming Joplin into a global destination for 3D street art.
As part of the 2026 World Street Painting Festival celebrating the Route 66 Centennial, artists from around the world will gather to share their creative processes, newest techniques, and the stories that inspire their large-scale optical illusions. From concept sketches to perspective tricks, discover how these immersive artworks come to life on the pavement.
Presented in collaboration with Connect2Culture, Spiva Center for the Arts, VisitJoplin, and World Street Painting, the evening will include time for gathering and mingling with artists beginning at 6:30pm, followed by the artist talk at 7pm. Free and open to the public.
